Who is Miki?
 
Miki Wright recently received “The Legend Award” at the 60th Anniversary of the Bronner Bros. International Beauty Show, recognizing her as one of the top authorities in the Beauty Industry. Her more than twenty years as an internationally recognized Hair Designer, Salon and Spa owner and much sought after Educator and Platform Artist, allow her to lend her expertise as a Coach and Consultant. She is committed to ‘giving back’ to this industry by sharing her vast experience to help stylists increase clientele, make more money and increase professionalism.

Wright was the founder of Fabulous Finishes Salon and Day Spa, which holds the distinguished honor of being one of the first African-American owned spa facilities in the country! In addition, Fabulous Finishes was selected by Salon Today Magazine as one of the “200 Fastest Growing Salons” in the country, for three consecutive years! During her career, Miki has had the pleasure of working with some of the beauty industry’s most respected talent (also Legend Award recipients), including Patric Bradley, Barry Fletcher, John Atchison and Thomas Hayden, as well as The Bronner Bros. organization, Pivot Point, and the International Beauty Shows (IBS) and Premiere Beauty Shows.

Often praised for her down to earth style and her knowledge of hair design and business, she has successfully provided thousands of beauty professionals with information, techniques and video education that have inspired creativity and confidence!

This charismatic young lady is the winner of several prestigious awards, including the Grand Prize of the very first Proud Lady “You Set the Trend” competition and a Bronze Medal on her first international competition. She was named one of America’s Top Ten Stylists by Salon Profiles Magazine and Washingtonian Magazine selected Fabulous Finishes in several of their “Best of Hair” issues. Her Fabulous Finishes team also won as “Salon Masters” for their dynamic presentation at the 1997 Proud Lady-East Beauty Show.

Wright’s designs have been featured on the pages and covers of numerous trade and consumer beauty publications, including American Salon, Modern Salon and Sophisticate’s Black Hair to name a few. Essence Magazine, The Washington Post, and Washingtonian Magazine all featured Fabulous Finishes Salon and Day Spa as one of the best in the country.

As the daughter and sister of accomplished stylists, she has developed a savvy business acumen and strong devotion to her profession. These talents, together with a willingness to share her knowledge, add up to the continued success that Miki enjoys. Along the way, she has acquired a wide range of skills and experience that she hopes will inspire others and help them to achieve the success they desire. With all this, Miki gives ultimate credit for her success to a deep spiritual faith, which constantly guides her toward her highest goals.
